The Carpet Continues to be Rolled Out

I am still in the middle of my newest God adventure. Before I left Viginia last week, the Lord showed me a vision of a red carpet. I mentioned in my last post that I believed the carpet symbolized favor and restoration. This trip has definitely been about both.

The theme of restoration was further confirmed when my seat partner on my last flight shared about her job. She works for an organization that unites children that have been removed from unsafe situations with safe family members. She accompanies the children as they travel to their destinations. Her face lit up as she shared about the joy she felt as she witnessed the tearful reunions. As she spoke, I thought about God’s joy when one of His children returns to Him. I also thought about my joy.

Recently, one of my prodigal children returned. Words can not express the joy I am experiencing! Although we are still geographically miles apart, we are closer than we have ever been.

I am in awe of the quick work God is doing. Not only do we now talk about the “God stuff” that had once been forbidden to enter our conversations. We almost daily share and pray together over the phone.

It’s been a sweet reunion and neither one of us will ever be the same.

Because of my taking care of family and his job challenges, it has been five years since I have been able to spend time with my son. I am thrilled that He has returned to the Lord, and I am loving every minute I spend with him on the phone, but I am believing for more. Since I believe that restoration and favor often go hand in hand, I believe that God will make a way for us to spend time together this year.

As I mentioned earlier, this trip has been one of both restoration and favor. I intended to write more about God’s favor during this journey, but since I am still basking in the awe and beauty of God’s restoration, I will save that for my next blog.

The Bible talks about God restoring what the locust and worms have eaten. I am not only seeing this in my life, but also in the lives of many of my friends.

Open up wide the ancient doors and let the King of glory come in! He is here to restore what the enemy devoured.

May you be Abundantly blessed!
